Photos taken at London Airport before it was called Heathrow between 1958 and 1960 during my plane spotting days as commercial airliners transitioned from propeller to jet propulsion. Some dates may not be correct and apologies if any aircraft are mis-identified. In this period before security became the dominant issue, the airport welcomed visitors to the observation deck at the Queen's Building. It was billed as a day out for the whole family. One could take excursions around the airfield by bus and some of these photos were taken on such trips.
